You Knew You Were a Mom When...

Choose... My feet stuck to the kitchen floor...and I didn't care. I bought cereal with marshmallows in it. I could recite everyone's schedule by heart. I threatened to lock my fighting kids in a room and not let them out until someone won. I spent an entire week wearing sweats. Popsicles became a food staple. I could predict most any spill, tumble, trip or fall before it happened. My favorite television show was a cartoon. I didn't leave home without Bandaids and snacks. I managed to check my email, play dolls, pet the dog, and coordinate carpool all at the same time. I was so desperate for adult conversation I spilled my guts to a telemarketer. Spit became my number one cleaning agent. I did the laundry, made breakfast, packed three lunches, and cleaned the house by 8 am. I found toothpaste on lights, water all over the floor, and a dog drinking out of the toilet. I automatically double-knotted everything I tied. I found myself humming the Barney song as I did the dishes. I started to like the smell of strained carrots mixed with applesauce. I wept through the scene in Dumbo when his mom was taken away. I reached over and started cutting up my husband's steak. I first gazed into my new baby's eyes.
